April Agronomy Update
Changes Due to COVID-19
Spring planting season is always a crazy time for the Agronomy Division of Premier Cooperative. This year we are dealing with the extra challenge of the pandemic virus COVID-19. With safety a core value for us, the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work, will dictate how we conduct business this spring. With this in mind, we have taken extra steps to help protect our customers and employees.
Our locations are open to employees and customers only. We are excluding outside venders, professional services and general visitors to help keep our team healthy and ready to serve you. We enjoy our typical walk-in customers and personal conversation, but under current COVID-19 conditions, minimizing face-to-face business will help limit the risk of community spread.
Please call or email orders to your appropriate agronomy center prior to arrival, then call when you arrive. We will have designated pick-up areas and bring the product to you.
We will continue to take care of our customers at our locations to provide the highest possible level of service.
On-farm Deliveries of Agronomy Products Will Continue.
Please call your location to schedule delivery or work with your agronomy location to accept deliveries when scheduled. The more advance notice we receive the better chance we will be able to meet your needs in a timely manner.
We will work with each customer to determine how they would like us to handle product delivery. Please describe where the product is to be dropped and allow the Premier employee to make the delivery alone. Provide your cell phone number in case of any follow up questions. If you must be present, we ask that you follow social distancing guidelines and limit conversation to essential discussions.
Please work with us as much as possible to refrain from non-essential face to face interactions.

Please call ahead to your local Premier Agronomy Center and an employee will meet you at the designated loading area for assistance.
We are asking customers to stay in their vehicle and orders will be brought to you. Please work with us as much as possible to refrain from non-essential face to face interactions.
An invoice or bill of lading will be provided and loading of your vehicle can be done solely by Premier employee(s).
Product Supply and Availability
Our team is eager for the spring season. Product is stocked and plans are made. We are ready to help you get the job done as safely and timely as possible. We will be proactively reaching out for early deliveries to ensure you have the product when you need it. Customers are encouraged to take early delivery of their product before the rush is in full swing. Our sales staff has been encouraged to work with each customer individually to anticipate your in-season needs to help ensure we can meet them. We continue to keep a close eye on our supply and inventory needs.

Is your alfalfa off to a good start for the season? Alfalfa in the area is breaking dormancy right now. Some of what you are seeing greening up in the field is dandelion and not alfalfa plants. It is important to scout your alfalfa fields to make sure the plants are off to a healthy start and that there are enough alfalfa plants there to obtain optimum yield. Other questions and concerns have come up: Will the recent snowfall, frost, and overall cold weather affect alfalfa plants that have already started to green up? Breaking dormancy occurs over a time frame of weeks and is not an instantaneous function.
Weekly ACH Program - I'd like to introduce you to our Weekly Autopay Discount Program. In order to incentivize automatic payments from our members, we have established the following discount program for customers who enroll their accounts in our weekly ACH autopay. Members may enroll their accounts in our weekly ACH autopay at any time. Accounts enrolled in ACH autopay will have their future purchases automatically debited to their bank accounts via ACH (often called e-check) on the Friday following the week of purchase (example below).
