COVID-19 UPDATE 3-19-2020

Mar 19, 2020

At Premier Cooperative the safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers, and communities is our top priority. With COVID-19 (coronavirus) having reached a pandemic situation, we need your help in keeping you, your families, our employee team and their families, and all our members, safe and healthy. Please keep in mind this is an ever-changing situation and we will be adapting as warranted.
  • We have implemented measures to help keep our staff and members safe, including restricting access to some locations/areas, changing hours, barriers for social distancing, and instructional signage.
  • Starting March 19, we will be restricting access to employees only at some locations. Please call the location before stopping. Contact information is available at premiercooperative.com and will be posted at locations.
  • Please limit your stops at our accessible facilities. If picking up feed or agronomy products, call ahead and we will have it ready for you when you arrive. When you arrive, call from your vehicle and we’ll bring it out to you.
  • Please limit interaction with delivery drivers and keep appropriate social distancing from all staff.
  • Please use technology—phone, email, text—to place orders and communicate with staff versus face to face when possible.
  • We may see some interruptions from suppliers. Our staff will help with substitutions if needed.
  • Our team is committed to providing the greatest products and service we can. With inevitable staffing challenges ahead, it’s critical that we receive feed orders at least 48 hours (2 working days) in advance to help our team meet your needs.
Thank you all for your understanding and support as we work through these difficult times together.

Ready or not, here comes spring! I have a sneaking suspicion you’re ready for it. It’s been a long winter but we’ll be wearing shorts before we know it. It never ceases to amaze me how cold 40 degrees feels in the fall and how warm that same temperature feels in the spring.

Over the past several months your agronomy team has been gearing up for another planting season. While some are tasked with prepping equipment for the spring rush, others are working to put the final touches on farm plans and working through financing with their growers. If you haven’t met with your Premier agronomist yet to get your seed, crop nutrients, crop protection products, custom application, and financing needs locked up, there is still a little time. Waiting until spring breaks to have these discussions only puts added stress and demands on you and our staff in a time when we should be focused on getting the crop in the ground.
