Premier Cooperative is looking for a Grain Originator to join our team. This position can be at either Mineral Point, Westby, or Mazomanie Wisconsin
Responsibilities:
- Contact producers on a weekly basis.
- Communicate daily bid contracts and closing bids to customers.
- Track customer contacts and keep record of available bushels to purchase.
- Communicate market trends, develop a market plan, and set goals.
- Manages, communicates, and coordinates purchases and logistics.
- Records and inputs daily hedging activity and assists with ensuring all Premier Cooperative grain locations are properly hedged.
- Negotiates directly with farmers and other sellers of grain to purchase grain

Part Time Flex Mill Housekeeper
Mineral Point, WI

Requirements:
- Able to lift 50lbs

Responsibilities:
- Housekeepers are responsible for keeping the mill clean, painting, reporting processing leaks, and completing all documentation accurately and timely

- Housekeepers are required to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality, Production, Training and Housekeeping standards

Agronomy Interns

Program Goal and Objective:
To provide the Intern agronomic skills and sales experience. To enhance customer service that will optimize the cooperatives market share and savings, improve the cooperatives efficiency, and help achieve the cooperatives mission and goals.
Position Responsibilities:
The Agronomy Intern responsibilities involve soil sampling, weed identification, insect identification, scouting techniques, tissue testing, marketing of products and services, planting test plots, signage of fields, daily operational activities and use of Decision Ag Technology.
The Agronomy Intern will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative. The Intern will also perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Description:
The job will provide training on agronomic skills such as soil sampling, weed identification, insect identification, scouting techniques, plant tissue testing, and planting of test plots. Recommendations of crop protection products, and crop nutrients will be part of the overall learning experience. The job will provide day-to-day operation experience at a local dealership’s agronomy department. It will provide a better understanding of agribusiness, while helping develop skills making a more desirable candidate to hire upon graduation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned duties as directed by management
- Scout fields for weeds and insect pests as requested
- Take soil samples and tissue samples as directed and requested
- Attaining field maps and seed technology agreements from customers
- Putting up field signs and participate in Answer and Insight Plots
- Participate in training activities, as directed, including after normal hours
- Conduct personal and business activities in a manner that is consistent with projecting a good image within the community

Term/Hours of Work:
During “spring rush” (typically April 20th to July 1st) hours worked may exceed 40/wk at the discretion of your supervisor. After spring rush is over no more than 40Hrs/Wk unless approved by supervisor. This is a limited term position and typically ends in early August but is up to supervisor discretion.
