2025 Safe Appliance Installation Rebate Program for consumers:

What is this program about?

The Wisconsin Propane Education & Research Council (WiPERC) is giving money back (rebates) if you install certain propane-powered appliances safely in your home.

Who can get the rebates?

  • You must work with Premier Cooperative (propane company) -- you can't apply on your own.
  • Your home must be in Wisconsin
  • The program is only for homes and sheds -- not for farms or businesses.
  • You can only get one rebate per type of appliance, even if you install more than one.

What appliances are eligible?

If you install one of these propane-powered appliances, you may qualify:

  • Water heater - $300
  • Furnace - $300 (only if replacing an electric, oil, or natural gas system)
  • Clothes dryer - $250
  • Fireplace - $250
  • Kitchen stove/cooktop - $250

Note: You won't get a rebate if you're replacing a propane furnace with another propane furnace.

When and how to apply:

  • Your propane company has to send in the application for you.
  • The application must be sent within 60 days after the safety inspection.
  • You'll get the rebate check in about 4-6 weeks after its approved.

How long does the program last?

  • The program runs until December 31, 2025, or until the funds are used up, whichever comes first.
  • It's first-come, first-serve, so don't wait too long.
